E-15 Submarine Wreck

The E-15 submarine serving English navy, completed in 23rd of April 1914. E-15 submarine took part in the mission agains The Turks in Dardanelles.

In 15th of April 1915, under the command of Lt Cdr T.S. Brodie, E-15 submarine entered to the starits in order to reach Sea of Marmara. But she ran aground 10 miles near the Kephaz point. Brodie and the crew died beacuse of the fire opened. There has been a lot of attacks to destroy this submarine in order not to let The Turks got her. First B-6 submarine who has Brodie's brother in her crew fired a torpedo but missed. After that, under the command of the future's admiral Cunnigham, Grampus and Scorpion destroyers searched her but couldn't find. B-11 Submarine also searched her but also couldn't find. Majestic and Triumph warships spotted her and fired but they missed. In the mean time, war planes were also trying to destroy her.

In the end in the evening of 18th of April, two attack boats from Majestic and Triumph with their two pairs of 14 inch torpedos spotted E-15 submarine. Majestic's attack boat have been shooted and sunk but before sinking she managed to sunk e-15 submarine. The crew returned with the other attack boat.

E-15 submarine scrapped in 1920 but there is still things left from this submarine in 4-6 meters depth.
